Traction batteries and BMS involve high voltage, high current and thermal management, so the test dimensions go beyond those of conventional electronic parts. Safety is the primary consideration.

Typical products
- Traction battery pack
- Battery management system (BMS)
- Battery module
- Energy storage system
- Charging module
- Battery connectors
Test scope by category
- Safety-related: overcharge, over-discharge, short circuit, crush, thermal runaway propagation.
- Electrical performance: insulation resistance, dielectric withstand, capacity and internal resistance.
- EMC: conducted emission, radiated emission, immunity.
- Environmental: high and low temperature, temperature cycling, damp heat, vibration and shock, ingress protection.
- BMS software-related: functional safety verification, SOC estimation accuracy.
Common failure modes
- BMS false alarms or spurious actions under strong interference.
- Local heating from poor contact at high-voltage connectors.
- Pack housing deformation or internal structure loosening after vibration.
- Protection failure after thermal runaway.
- BMS measurement accuracy drifting at low temperature.
Special requirements
- High-voltage tests require a dedicated safety plan and emergency response procedure.
- Some tests have their own safety standards; safety protection and monitoring must be configured accordingly.
- BMS functional safety verification may involve the relevant ISO 26262 requirements.
Service notes
Our laboratory holds both CMA and CNAS accreditation, covers about 10,000 m2 and runs more than 500 sets of equipment. All testing is carried out in our own laboratories — nothing is subcontracted. Plant visits and on-site witnessed testing are welcome.
Scheduling follows the actual project pipeline. You can state your preferred lead time when you submit samples; we will confirm a feasible plan against current capacity and keep you updated at each milestone.
